Welcome to the new MPW!

Welcome to the newly designed web space and professional blog for MPW Chartered Professional Accountants LLP (Formerly Woods Pearson & Associates.) The new name comes from our current partnership of Dave Mallick (M), Don Pearson (P), and Ken Williams (W). You might notice a few cosmetic changes both online and in our offices over the next few months – bear with us as we put up our new MPW signs and learn our way around Twitter.

Our Past…
When our founder Gary Woods started his practice in Forest in 1981, we don’t think that he could have imagined all the changes and growth that have led up to this point. What started as a small CA firm in Forest Ontario has developed into a practice of over 20 professionals including three partners and seven licensed CPAs, serving four locations.  Throughout all of these changes, though, one thing has remained the same: Accounting is the language of business. The professionals at MPW speak it and our mission is to ensure you understand that language as well.

What is the future of accounting, and how does it affect your business?
As technology changes, your business needs can change as well. We recognize the importance of staying on top of the latest software applications and tools available to you. Did you know that utilizing Canada Revenue Agency’s online services has made it possible for us to review your CRA accounts and fix problems you may have directly online? Cloud bookkeeping will make it possible for you to take a picture of an invoice and have it post to your accounting records.   Say good-bye to banker’s boxes!

Your business. Your success. Our passion.
There is nothing more satisfying to us than helping our clients achieve their goals.  Accounting doesn’t have to be stressful; we can help you understand every aspect of your business so that you can make more informed, better decisions.

These updates will be used to communicate with you and share our understanding of the language of business. We will talk more about things mentioned above and delve into specific issues that affect all business owners. Check back frequently for updates
